I've been trying to get Matthew Ryan on my show for the better part of two years. Over beers the other night, my friend Holland Nix happened to mention him and the fact that they're friends.

A week later Matthew showed up at my mom's house, early I might add, with his guitar in hand.

He speaks like a poet and says things you want to write down. His voice is pure rasp and if you're lucky enough to hear him sing in a room, trust me...do it.
