My wonderful friend Abby White, Music Editor for Performing Songwriter Magazine, first told me of Swati and called her a badass. Perfect description!

Swati, meaning "birth of a star" in Hindu, is exactly that. We met at her best friends apartment in the West Village to record this show. When I rocked up late she was waiting out front with her dog.

Swati is all at once distant, yet real. She's warm, but you can tell she's been hurt and she's not gonna let you do it again.
